Let's talk about the Oxford comma.

While my first love is all things creative, there's a certain kind of satisfaction that comes from editing, researching and collaborating (AP Style all day, every day). The work on this page was done in my capacity as Content Manager for MOJO Ad, a full-service, student-staffed agency at the University of Missouri. MOJO Ad produces real, campaignable work for national clients like Walmart, Tostitos, Almond Breeze and Purina.

MOJO Ad are specialists in all things young, focusing on the Youth and Young Adult (YAYA) market. This 18- to 24-year-old, hard-to-reach demographic is studied and researched each year by MOJO Ad staff. We understand them, because we are them.

Content Managers are responsible for proofreading and re-writing all agency communications (situation analysis, primary research, insights, web site, etc.), as well as researching and writing the State of the YAYA Report. We're also in charge of working with our 10-person team (go Laurus!) to produce the team plan book, the 200-plus page document that outlines the our research, insights, target profile and tactics. Our 2015-16 client was Enterprise CarShare.

State of the YAYA 2016: MOJO Ad

Each year, MOJO Ad staff produces the State of the YAYA Report to help marketers understand us. Based on secondary research by staff, as well as a nationwide survey of YAYA consumers, this academic journal is completely written by MOJO Ad's content managers and copywriters and designed by staff creatives.

The 2016 SOY is called, "The American Dream," and it changed the game. Major props to Art Director Alix Carruth, Graphic Designer Lani Tuitasi, Content Manager MJ Rogers and Copywriter Jordyn Dame.

Laurus Team Planbook

Our 10-person MOJO team (my clique) produced a fully-integrated marketing campaign for Enterprise CarShare entitled, "Life's Better with a Passenger Seat." In addition to garnering me a reputation as very fierce with a red pen, writing this book helped me grow as a writer, editor and team member.

We kinda sorta totally signed away the rights of the campaign to the client, so I can't link to our plan book here. However, I can show you a little peek, and tell you more about our team. Plus, if you hang out with me in person, odds are I'm bringing the book with me. I'm only a little bit proud of it.
